Aldi shoppers go wild for mum's school lunch boxes: 'Best investment ever'

An Aldi shopper has sparked an online frenzy after sharing the "handy" bento-style lunch boxes she sends to school with her boys.

Mum-of-three Sammi McCarthy shared a photo of her impressive daily Aldi lunch box handiwork with the Aldi Mums Facebook group, loaded with sandwiches, yoghurt, fresh fruit, veg, cheese and deli meat.

"When you have 3 hungry boys to feed at school. All from Aldi," she proudly captioned the lunch snap.

Online critics were quick to praise the colourful lunch, with comments ranging from "Fantastic!" to "love your set up!"

However, it was clear shoppers were drawn to one detail, with hundreds taking to the comments section to get to the bottom of it.

Another added, "This looks great!! What brand are these lunch boxes?"

"Where do you get the lunch separater thingys from? They look handy!"

The bento-style boxes feature multiple different compartments to keep snacks and dishes fresher for longer.

After being inundated with enquiries, the mum finally revealed: "For those wondering: the lunch boxes are BBox lunch boxes with the BBox insulated lunch bags."

McCarthy later added her own glowing review of the item.

"So much more room than a bento. And I purchased the insulated bags. The lunch box comes with an ice pack too. Best investment ever."
