Aldi's award-winning summer wine range has officially dropped and it's all under $15

Summer is well and truly on its way, which of course means an uptick in social outings.

But if you're one of the millions of Aussies struggling with the constant increases to interest rates and inflation, and are feeling strapped for cash, a casual outing to the pub might be a stretch too far.

A need to budget, however, doesn't mean you have to miss out – and Aldi today have announced a new wine range with all products under the $15 mark.

Aldi Summer wine and cheese

Aldi has announced its new range of wine just in time for summer, and they're all under $15. Supplied

The range includes low alcohol options, award-winning wines, and bottles with thermochromic labels – meaning they'll adjust their colour when the optimum chilled temperature is reached.

The wines on offer include:

  • Tatachilla Light & Fresh Sauvignon Blanc 2023 – $8.99 (low alcohol option)
  • Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2021 – $9.99 (award-winning)
  • The Standing People Pinot Grigio 2023 – $9.99 (low alcohol option)
  • Grand Les Maurins Rosé DOP 2022 – $9.99
  • Grand Les Maurins Sauvignon Blanc DOP 2022 – $9.99
  • Kaiora Bay Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2023 – $12.99 (award-winning)

Aldi Wine Expert and Buying Director Jason Bowyer says he is excited to see what customers think of this summer's offerings.

"Offering high-quality drops at affordable prices is what Aldi has always been about," said Bowyer. 

"We've continued to monitor the latest trends to find exactly what Aussies want to be drinking this summer. Customer interest in lighter wines continues to grow, both from an alcoholic and caloric perspective."

"There's also a strong desire for vibrant, aromatic, and crisp varieties that echo the summer season," he continues.

The supermarket giant has also launched their range of summer cheeses.
