Aldi's 41c coffee pods beat out big-name brands in customer satisfaction ranking

It's been a big week for Aldi already, with fans rushing to buy the store's Special Buy plant-based milk maker and causing a stir.

But there's more news today, with trusted consumer comparison site Canstar Blue awarding the budget supermarket top prize for Best Coffee Pods in its latest Most Satisfied Customer Awards of 2022.

At just 41c a pod, the Aldi Expressi range scored five stars in all seven judging categories – overall satisfaction, taste, variety, appeal, aroma, texture and value for money.

"We all know how much Aussies love their coffee, and we're so proud our Expressi Coffee range has been recognised as the best coffee pods by Australian consumers," said Aldi Australia Coffee Buying Director, Varun Raheja.

"Our beloved Expressi range of coffee capsules have been offering the perfect blend to Aussie shoppers since 2011, allowing them to experience quality coffee at home while also saving money."

The Expressi range includes a Swiss engineered capsule machine, retailing now for $69.99, and a variety of coffee blends that cost just 41c per capsule, with a pack of 16 selling for $6.49.

Aldi beat out Nespresso and Starbucks pods to take out the top place.

Aldi regularly secures top results overall from customers for satisfaction across the board when it comes to the Canstar ratings, so a win for their coffee pods is another tick of approval from customers.

Flavours from the range include Expressi Intenzo, Calabrese, Abruzzo, Organic, Decaffi and more.
