Aldi's colour-changing gin is back by popular demand

Gin lovers have an excuse to clear their schedule next Wednesday because Aldi has just announced the highly-anticipated return of their exclusive colour-changing gin and you'd be crazy to miss out.

Yep — ALDI's McQueen Forest Fruits Colour Changing Gin will be back in store next week from October 28, with a bottle kicking off your summer G&Ts on the back deck for $49.99.

This 100 per cent natural Scottish craft gin is made using the petals of the butterfly pea flower, which gives it its impressive colour-changing powers.

Once a mixer — ice, tonic water or a squeeze of lemon — is added to the spirit, changing the drink's pH, the colour changes from blue to rose pink.

Created by husband and wife team, Dale and Vicky McQueen, the gin first hit the market in 2018 where it was stocked exclusively in Aldi stores throughout the UK.

A guaranteed party starter, the McQueen Forest Fruits Colour Changing Gin first appeared on Australian Aldi shelves in October 2019. After selling out in record time, the retailer brought it back in March this year to the same reception.
