The most iconic – and expensive – Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Fantasy Bras of all time
When the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debuted in 1995, executives knew something was missing.
So, in 1996, they upped the ante considerably, creating a tradition where, each year, a piece of bespoke luxury lingerie encrusted with millions of dollars worth of gems and jewels – the Fantasy Bra – would be showcased on the Angel lucky enough to be chosen.
It's no small feat to be chosen to parade the Fantasy Bra around the runway, with one being so expensive it has a Guinness World Record.

2011's Fantasy Treasure Bra – $US2.5 million (approx. $5.2 million now)
Australia's own Miranda Kerr had a "pinch me moment" at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2011 when she was given the opportunity to showcase the shell-shaped, pearl-encrusted Fantasy Treasure Bra.
"[It's] something that I'm not sure will ever happen again," Kerr told 9honey Style ahead of the announcement that she's Michael Hill's new ambassador.
"It was interesting because the security guard was with me pretty much the whole time.
"I just tried to focus on enjoying the moment. And yeah, I knew that moment wouldn't be coming again... I had a great time with Victoria's Secret, and that was definitely a moment to remember."
2011's Fantasy Treasure Bra – $US2.5 million (approx. $5.2 million now)
Not only was the London Jewelers-designed Fantasy Treasure Bra encrusted with more than 3400 jewels – including 142-carat worth of diamonds – but it was the result of more than 500 hours of work.
Kerr also revealed to 9honey Style that Victoria's Secret had asked her to be a part of the revamped show... but she said no.
"I just said, 'Look, I'm really flattered, but I've already hung up my wings and I'm focused on my family and my business'," Kerr said.
"That was such a fun time in my life and something that I really enjoyed but I'm quite content with where I'm at."
Kerr was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2007 to 2013, walking in six fashion shows during that time.
2008's Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra – $US5 million (approx. $7.3 million now)
Adriana Lima is no stranger to the Fantasy Bra, though 2008 marked the first time she wore it during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Covered in 3900 gems – including 117 white diamonds and 34 rubies – Beverly Hills jeweller Martin Katz was the designer behind Lima's first Fantasy Bra.
2014's Dream Angels Fantasy Bras – $US2 million each (approx. $4 million each now)
Lima wore the Bombshell Fantasy Bra in 2010, and then she was chosen for a third time to wear the Fantasy Bra in 2014 – though this time it was alongside Alessandra Ambrosio.
The Dream Angels Fantasy Bras took artisans 1380 hours to assemble, and were strung together with 18-karat gold.
2013's Royal Fantasy Bra – $US10 million (approx. $20 million now)
The year before Lima and Ambrosio's double act, Candice Swanepoel debuted the most expensive Fantasy Bra since 2005.
Decorated with 5400 gems – and topped off with a 52-carat pear-shaped ruby – the Royal Fantasy Bra was designed by Mouawad.
2003's Very Sexy Fantasy Bra – $US11 million (approx. $28 million now)
Well hello there, Heidi Klum!
Another seasoned Fantasy Bra show pony, Klum first wore the coveted bra in 1999, debuting with the Millennium Bra.
Two years later, she wore the Mouawad-designed Heavenly Star Bra, and then two years later, in 2003, she wore the Very Sexy Fantasy Bra.
Featuring a 69-carat diamond pendant hanging from the bra, Klum's set was complete with bejewelled underwear and a fur coat.
It was the last time she'd be chosen to don the Fantasy Bra.
2007's Holiday Fantasy Bra – $US4.5 million (approx $10.2 million today)
Selita Ebanks' Fantasy moment wasn't just with the bra, it was the full set – complete with a thong, garter, barrette and cuff bracelet.
Featuring holly and poinsettia decals, the 18-karat gold lingerie set had 584 carats of diamonds, 276 carats of rubies, three carats of yellow sapphires and a whopping 584 carats of diamonds.
2018's Dream Angels Fantasy Bra – $US1 million (approx. $1.8 million now)
Fifteen years after Klum wore the Fantasy Bra for the final time, the final ever Fantasy Bra was displayed at the final Victoria's Secret Fashion Show before its six-year hiatus.
Elsa Hosk had the honour of walking the runway in the Dream Angels Fantasy Bra, which was crafted with 21,000 diamonds by Swarovski.
2005's Sexy Splendor Fantasy Bra – $US12.5 million (approx. $30 million now)
Another Angel who scored the coveted Fantasy Bra gig more than once is supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who notably wore the Sexy Splendor Fantasy Bra in 2005.
Another Mouawad design, it featured 2900 pavé diamonds and 22 rubies set in 18-carat white gold.
A matching belt and 101-carat diamond only made the bra look more luxurious.
