Her Majesty reportedly ‘surprised’ by Meghan Markle’s wedding dress

Meghan Markle’s history-making Givenchy bridal gown, may have gained her international style praise, but there was one person less than impressed with the Clare Waight Keller design – Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Daily MailDaily Mail her Majesty was reportedly "surprised" that the former Suits star opted to wear white down the aisle at St. Georges Chapel in Windsor. The Duchess has been married before, from 2011-2013 to TV producer Trevor Engelson.

"Meghan is being told she needs to start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a Royal,” a source told the publication.

Her decision to wear a short tuxedo-style dress to an August performance of the musical Hamilton, was also cited as an example of Markle’s boldness causing unease with some royal courtiers.

When it comes to her sartorial choices, the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t been afraid to push the envelope.

The mother-to-be has introduced Chloé clutches, Aquazzura pumps and ripped jeans into the royal wardrobe, and swapped flawlessly styled hair for messy buns -The antithesis of Kate Middleton’s perfect blow-dried mane.

The same insider also revealed that the 37-year-old has shaken up The Palace with her formidable work ethic. The 37-year-old is allegedly up at 5am every day and bombards her aides with up to seven text messages containing suggestions and requests.
