Taylor Swift turns 30 this year! Considering it feels like only yesterday she was singing about being 22, this fact is a little wild to read.

To mark the milestone the singer penned a list of all the things she has learned before officially hitting her thirties, and to anyone who's about to say farewell to their twenties there's a lot to learn (fan of Swift, or not).

There's the usual learnings that come with age, like not needing validation through social media (amen to that!) and being body positive, Swift bravely confesses there's no quick fix. "I work on accepting my body every day."

But it was her beauty fails that brought a lighter side to the conversation that, as we read, we could completely relate to -- Taylor Swift is just like the rest of us!

"After my teen years and early twenties of sleeping in my makeup and occasionally using a Sharpie as eyeliner (DO NOT DO IT), I felt like I needed to start being nicer to my skin," Swift writes for Elle.

"I now moisturise my face every night and put on body lotion after I shower, not just in the winter, but all year round, because, why can't I be soft during all the seasons?!"

The list continues with Swift admitting that she too has style moments she regrets.

"Fashion is all about playful experimentation. If you don’t look back at pictures of some of your old looks and cringe, you’re doing it wrong," she says.

"See: Bleachella."
