Heiress and forever-trendsetter Paris Hilton has tied the knot in an exquisite Oscar de la Renta gown, and you must take a look.

The 40-year-old married her fiancé Carter Reum, also 40, at her late grandfather's $82 million Bel Air estate, making four different outfit changes to mark the occasion.

Hilton's wedding ceremony dress stole the show, however — a trailing, delicate lace gown custom-made by Oscar de la Renta designers Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim.

In a tweet on the designer's official Twitter page, Hilton's gown was described as a "thread work pressed flower ballgown and veil."

It was also revealed that the dress was hand-embroidered by a team of eight modistes, over the course of 1400 hours.

The dress features beautiful flower embroidery which traces the bodice, sleeves, neckline and skirt of the gown, as well as the veil.

In an interview with Vogue, Hilton revealed that the de la Renta team had spent months making her dream wedding dress a reality.

"I love how it turned out. I wanted something that was timeless, elegant, chic, and iconic, and I am so happy," she said.

In terms of make-up, hair and accessories, the star kept things simple. Her famous blonde locks were swept up in a neat bridal bun, with some dainty diamond drop earrings and a neutral make-up look.

Hilton enjoyed her first dance with her new husband in the gown, before changing into a crystal-covered custom Pamela Roland gown for photos with guests.

Towards the end of the night, Hilton donned another de la Renta gown, which was a much shorter style so she could boogie on the dance floor.
