Charlotte Gainsbourg and NARS team up

NARS Cosmetics is the beauty brand of choice for high-fashion, forward-thinking, cool chicks.

Given that it makes completely perfect sense that the company's next collab will be with French fashion icon Charlotte Gainsbourg - who is all that and more.

The daughter of English actress and model Jane Birkin and French singer Serge Gainsbourg, Charlotte is admired worldwide for her bold style choices and her effortless chic vibe and this latest venture will only further cement her cool girl status (if possible).

We're pretty damn excited about this new venture frankly - NARS is the creator of a bunch of truly awesome products - Orgasm blush being our all-time favourite - and Charlotte is pretty thrilled too.

"I was flattered and quite excited when I learned that Francois wanted to collaborate on a collection," she says.

The collection, which will launch in May, features a full 18 products for eyes, lips and cheeks.

And what are they like? A lot like the products Charlotte uses to create her own look. Think smouldering, smoky eyes, flushed, sweet cheeks and surprising pop of colour.

Charlotte describes the collection as very personal.

"It is very true and personal to me," she says.

"It was quite hard taking my thoughts and putting them into products, but I created them based on what I use and love. That's what I wanted to share with women."
