Meghan Markle's wedding dress has been the subject of unending discussion since Prince Harry asked the 37-year-old actress to marry him in November 2017.

Months were spent anticipating who the favoured designer would be. People wondered whether Markle would take a leaf out of Kate Middleton’s book, donning lace sleeves and an A-line silhouette? Or perhaps take inspiration from Grace Kelly, a fellow Hollywood actress-turned-royal?

And then, as Markle stepped out of a vintage Rolls Royce on May 19, 2018, the dress in question was revealed—a white satin Givenchy by Clare Waight Keller gown complete with full-length sleeves, a bateau neckline and full symmetrical skirt.

According to reports, the famed Givenchy wedding gown will be displayed in an exhibition at Windsor Castle that will be open to the public from October to January, before moving to Holyrood Palace.

The delicate creation was embroidered with the national flowers of the 53 Commonwealth countries, as well as two flowers selected by Markle; wintersweet, found in Kensington Palace, and the California poppy, where Markle was born.
