First Nations Fashion Show wows audiences during London Fashion Week

A series of Australian designers have showcased their latest looks during London Fashion Week overnight.

Marking a first at Australia House, there were a combination of traditional and contemporary looks by Indigenous designers that made their way down the catwalk.

The First Nations Fashion Show was a colourful collection that showcased six brands to a packed crowd of British buyers and journalists.

The First Nations Fashion Show was a colourful collection that showcased six brands to a packed crowd of British buyers and journalists. Twitter/Australia House

The historic catwalk included First Nations fashion designers and models with labels on display including: Kirrikin, Liandra, MAARA Collective, Ngali, Kamara and Mimi & Jiinda.

"We are very excited to be presenting a group of six designers with commercially ready products to the London audience," Kirrikin founder Amanda Healy told National Indigenous Times ahead of Tuesday's show.
