Celebrity stylist reflects on 'emotional' Céline Dion experience amid her ongoing health battle

Celebrity stylist Law Roach has opened up about one "very emotional" experience dressing Céline Dion amid her ongoing health battle.

Roach, who is well-known for being Zendaya's fashion right-hand, styled Dion for her surprise grand appearance onstage at the 2024 Grammy Awards in February.

While the stylist announced he was 'retired' in 2023, he came back to dress the singer, who he has been working with since 2016, for her big night.

"When I got the call that she was doing this, you know, she wanted to show the world because everything [in the media] was [saying] that she was so ill and she was bedridden, she was in a wheelchair," he told Entertainment Tonight.

"And me being able to play a small part in her showing the world that she's happy and she's healthy and she's alive, and she's ready to be back onstage... it was amazing."

The star, who has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome since her 2022 diagnosis, received a standing ovation when walked onto the stage at the end of the awards show.

Dion wore a chic jacket over a sheer gown and a statement Tiffany & Co necklace to present Taylor Swift with the coveted Album of the Year gong.

"When I say that I'm happy to be here, I really mean it. From my heart," Dion opened her speech.

"This makes me so much Joy! Not just to dress my Queen again but the fact that she's HEALTHY AND HAPPY! The UNIVERSE always PROTECTS and PROVIDES," Roach wrote to Instagram alongside a picture with Dion from her Grammy's appearance.

"Thank you Celine for allowing me to share this triumphant moment with you," he added.

Since Dion announced in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome, she has made rare appearances out and about.

In March the singer was spotted singing and dancing in the crowd at a Boston hockey game with her sons.

In a social media post for Stiff Person Syndrome Awareness Day, Dion admitted battling the disorder "has been one of the hardest experiences of my life".

Roach has become largely known for his work with actress Zendaya, who he recently styled for the 2024 Met Gala.
