Katy Perry shock fans with dramatic new 'haircut'
Katy Perry is no stranger to switching up her look.
The singer has dyed her hair every colour of the rainbow and rocked everything from a pixie cut to a micro fringe over the years.
But Perry's recent post has sent fans into a frenzy after the singer debuted a dramatic new haircut for the first time in years – but with a twist.

The Roar singer, who went back to her signature black hair colour in 2020 after rocking a blonde pixie cut, posted a short clip showing off her new chin length hair cut.
In the video with her hair stylist Jesus Guerrero, Perry revealed she had kept her iconic black colour but opted for a new French bob haircut styled in a sweeping side part.
"thoughts, comments, concerns? 👇🏼" the singer encouraged her fans to comment on the shocking new look ahead of filming season seven of American Idol.
"What a babe no matter what hair length always bringing it," one person said.
Others pointed out that the new look resembled her pixie cut during her Witness album era in 2017.
"You are recreating the witness era again?" someone asked.
"We're back to 2009 🔥" another commented, suggesting the new look resembled the singer's classic short black hair back in the late noughties.
But some others questioned whether the new haircut was actually the real deal or a wig.
"i love it but it's a wig or 😭😭" someone said.
A couple of hours after she shocked fans with her latest haircut, Perry posted some follow-up side view pics of the edgy look, confirming it was indeed a wig after all.

"You guys had a lot of strong feelings about my haircut. Let's see that energy for KP6," she directed to fans in an Instagram video on one slide, also teasing a new album.
"This is just a wig," she ended the clip.
Perry was recently the talk of the internet for another iconic style moment at Coachella.
The singer was spotted at the first weekend of the music festival in a t-shirt with her fiancé Orlando Bloom's Lord of the Rings character Legolas on it.
