Kamala Harris inspires great-nieces to steal her chic childhood style

Vice President Kamala Harris has amazing style, we know that, but it seems sartorial prowess runs deep within her family, with her great-nieces making a statement of their own at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration on Wednesday.

Four-year-old Amara and two-year-old Leela, the daughters of the Vice President's niece Meena Harris, were spotted at Wednesday's event in the chicest matching faux fur leopard-print coats. A statement on their own, the coats drew plenty of attention from onlookers, but there's more to the adorable sisters' twinning moment.

Taking to Instagram, Meena shared a photo of her daughters in their cosy custom coats, along with a snap of a young Kamala with her family wearing a similar coat.

The caption read: "Special coats to look just like Auntie's."

The hooded coats, now called "Kamala", were designed and handmade for the sisters by I Love Plum — a female-founded childrenswear brand based in New York City.

"When I Love Plum heard back from Meena and that she loved the coats they had sketched, their designer spent the past weekend sewing them from hand," said the brand in a statement.

If you're looking to buy a coat with a special meaning for your tiny one, the "Kamala" will be available to order soon from iloveplum.com.
