Woman shares genius hack for sizing jeans without trying them on
Shopping for jeans isn't always the most pleasant experience. They are all sized so differently and there are so many different styles — high-rise, low-rise, slim, skinny, boyfriend...
When you find the right pair it can be life-changing and one woman on TikTok @topnotchboutique has heard our cries for help, sharing what is a genius hack for sizing jeans without having to try them on.
Because sometimes, you're just not in the mood to struggle into them.

In the video we see the woman holding up a pair of jeans. She says: "Have you ever not just felt like trying jeans on.
"Well let me just show you a jean hack that's going to be a life saver."

It's then that she reveals the hack, explaining that if the waistband of the jeans fits around your neck, they will fit around your waist.
She demonstrates this before heading into the change room to try the jeans on and sure enough, they fit perfectly.

Many of the woman's TikTok followers were delighted by the time-saving hack.
"It works I've done this for years," says one of the woman's TikTok followers.
"It definitely works," says another.
"My mum does this," says one TikTok follower.
"Yes!!! My mum told me this hack as we were growing up. Totally works," adds another.
"That's exactly how my mumma would shop," says another.
"Been doing this for years," comments one TikTok follower.
"Wait what? I'm trying this next time I shop," says another.

Other claim it didn't work for them at all.
"That doesn't work for everyone because I tried it with a few pairs and it didn't work," writes one.
"Nope, this didn't work for me," says another.
"Me neither, I have menopause belly, it worked when I was 30, I'm 53," says another.
"Not always . Something it's going to work . But if fabric has no give in it, not going to fit," says another.
At this point the woman acknowledges this discrepancy, commenting: "Agreed especially depending on the persons body type and stretch of jeans."
She also explains she opts for "stretchy jeans" and it seems to work for this style in particular, this time "Judy blue high rise acid wash" jeans.
"Agreed! But all my jeans I buy are stretchy. Not a fan of 100% cotton," she says.
