Helena Christensen reveals the real reason she didn't appear in The Super Models docuseries

Helena Christensen has revealed the real reason she didn't participate in The Super Models documentary.

In an interview with W Magazine, Christensen, 54, shared that although she supports her friends who took part in the Apple TV+ series, it's not something she would ever do herself.

"It's only because I would be terrified," she shared. "I'm very private actually, and I would be sort of stressed out and anxious about being part of something that I know would be so public and having to do press about it afterwards."

The Danish model, who dated late Aussie INXS rocker Michael Hutchence in the '90s, went on to explain that although she wasn't a part of it, she's glad the series was made.

"I am very grateful that the four girls did it. Now, I can sit back and enjoy reminiscing on all the great times we had," she said.

"But I prefer to stay very low-key. I usually try to avoid any kind of public appearances and press other than what I have to do for work."

The Super Models premiered on September 20, 2023, starring four of the most iconic supermodels of all time, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford.

The series came with a number of bombshell reveals, including Cindy Crawford calling out Oprah's comment on her body from a 1986 interview and Linda Evangelista revealing she was asked to pose naked at the age of 16 on one of her first modelling jobs.

But unfortunately for those of us who love a peak behind the curtain, it seems we won't be seeing any of that for a very long time from Helena Christensen.

"Not anytime soon," she responded when asked if she would ever participate in a documentary.

"Maybe when I'm 98, I will finally give in and do it. Then, I won't have to hold anything back because everyone involved probably won't be around anymore."
