Donatella Versace has joined Instagram
With friends like Carine Roitfeld and Marc Jacobs, Donatella Versace was made for Instagram.
Not since Prince joined Twitter with a "selfie" of white smoke against a glowing purple light has a social media debut been as apt as Donatella Versace's.
The 60-year-old designer joined Instagram 16 hours ago in the most Donatella way possible: with a happy snap alongside Gigi Hadid, on a snowcapped mountain, while wearing platforms.
With golden limbs and platinum locks gleaming in the sunshine, the only things missing were her two shirtless man-servants (guess they didn't fit in the helicopter?)
The fashion superpower then went on to blow everyone else's whimsical bios out of the water, proclaiming "Me, Donatella. I believe in individuality and the freedom to be whoever you want to be."
Not for her the banality of job titles and hobbies. When you're Donatella Versace, you simply announce that you've arrived and deliver your manifesto.
