Cindy Crawford’s new role

With her Amazonian figure, wild mane of hair and signature beauty spot, Cindy Crawford's powerful sensuality represented the forefront of '80s and '90s fashion, defining the term supermodel.

Now, the 52-year-old has brought her Midas touch and dance moves to the high-street.

Crawford is the star of a new campaign for Polish brand, Reserved, titled 'I love you Cindy' that sees her pay tribute to the '80s.

In the short clip, directed by Gordon von Steiner, Crawford dances energetically in a pink power suit, appears on the set of a retro soap opera alongside Stranger Things actor Dacre Montgomery, and drives off in a pick-up truck clad in a leather jacket.

The pastel-hued visuals and Crawford’s retro-inspired outfits mean that the film’s ‘80s aesthetic is hard to miss. 

"I was just starting high school in the beginning of the '80s and by the end of the '80s, I was living in New York modelling." She told British Vogue.

"Certainly getting my first Vogue cover was a highlight!"

The supermodel joins a slew of famous faces such as Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn and Irina Shayk, that have also posed for the high-street newcomer. 

"What Reserved have done with their campaigns has been really smart," Cindy asserts. 

“I'm happy to be added to this line-up with something that feels nostalgic but is also surprising. I think the brand is keeping people on their toes."

The campaign is Crawford’s latest career comeback move. In February, the supermodel graced the cover of the March issue of US InStyle in vintage Versace.

Crawford and the Italian fashion house defined much of the decade’s 'super' obsession and they have reunited to recreate the magic for the special edition issue, which is dedicated to Donatella Versace’s late brother and the brand’s founder, Gianni Versace. He was murdered on his doorstep in Miami Beach more than 20 years ago.

"(Gianni) celebrated powerful women but also beautiful and sexy women who are unapologetic about not being a victim," Crawford said. 

"Donatella has carried on the original brand, but she brings a female perspective as well."
