It's time to ditch these summer trends

Feel that slight chill in the air as the sun takes longer to rise in the morning? Apart from the occasional weather incident of scorching days or flooding rains, there’s no ignoring that we are in autumn and summer is well and truly over.
The smell of zinc is becoming a distant memory as it becomes increasingly unusual to find sand at the bottom of your bed or pink tan lines after a five-minute walk to get milk.
It’s time to adjust your wardrobe accordingly and ditch items that thrive in humidity but don’t cut it as the leaves start to fall. Prune these items and stop being a season denier.
Romper Suit
The playsuit was pretty much over the moment men co-opted it, turning it into a fancy dress go-to for bucks parties.
The convenience of slipping into a floaty floral one-piece has blinded women to it’s inappropriate nature for autumn. On a side not, why do people insist on wearing them a size too small, resulting in unfortunate puckering or pulling in the crotch?
Flimsy doesn’t cut-it after Easter but you don’t have to cover-up completely. If you’re intent on baring your legs invest in a ‘70s-style suede mini-skirt for a brilliant boho update.

Workout bra
Congratulations, you have a flat stomach but do we really have to see it know that you’re only sweating inside the gym?
Black triangle workout bras with logo straps can still be seen in the organic section at your supermarket or secretively covering a generous helping of carrot cake at cafes around the country.
You can still let your friends know that you have an exorbitant yoga class membership without showing your cleavage.
Cover-up with a logo sweater too and from the gym and you’ve instantly gone from try-hard to on-trend. Let people imagine your abs and enjoy that carrot cake.
