Australian Muslims share what they wore on Eid ul Fitr 2023
Eid is the one time Muslims have a valid excuse to shop, with it literally being decreed to wear new, clean clothes on Eid Day.
This creates a lot of anticipation for the "Eid fit", though this means different things to different people. Some love to dress to the nines, while others like to keep it simple and chic.

Soaliha was pretty in pink this Eid with a salwar kameez from Daud Abbas, which she ordered from laam.pk, a popular site for Pakistani clothing amongst the community.
She paid $75 for the outfit itself but got it tailored once it arrived in Australia for an additional $50, she tells 9Honey.
She also matched her makeup, hijab, and jewelry to the pink and purple hues of her outfit, creating a stunning look.
Ramis Ansari, Influencer and Entrepreneur

Ramis' Eid outfit had a personalised touch.
"The outfit is from my own South-Asian clothing brand, Alag by Ansari," he told 9Honey.
"Our outfits are for those living in the west who want to feel their best & confident in south-Asian cultural clothing."

"All of my clothes were handmade in Peshawar, so nothing is branded," Aslan told 9Honey.
"I'm wearing a Pakol hat, salwar kameez (pants with a tunic on top) with a waistcoat. The shoes are called Peshawari chapal."

Umer went with famous Pakistani brand Junaid Jamshed, known by locals as "J.", for his Eid outfit this time around.

Nawal wore a flowy black kaftan with a silver fringe from Na-kd, from a collaboration with Muslim Moroccan influencers, Oumayma Elboumeshouli and Khaoula Boumeshouli
"It's the perfect statement piece... she's also an Arab designer so I'm really representing this Eid!" she shared with Fashion Journal.
Naaila Dalati, Fashion Model
Naila's white dress is from Australian brand Witchery, which she accessorised with a brown hijab from another Aussie brand, Reign the Label.
She finished the simple yet chic look off with a statement gold handbag.
Kishama Meridian, Digital Creator
Kishama wears a beautiful puffy lilac dress from Aje, accesorised with matching lilac heels and a white Lady Dior bag for the ultimate "girly" look.
The colour scheme has an added meaning, though, with Kishama sharing with Fashion Journal, "One of [the] first-ever outfits I posted [on Instagram] after putting the hijab on was lilac.
"This outfit is pretty sentimental to me for that reason and makes me reflect on how much I've improved in my modest journey."

Yasmin decided to bring her Eid outfit all the way down, with herself and her family wearing sweatpants and hoodies on Eid – a concept that would shock any Muslim.

Basra wore a cream dress from Aje which she was gifted for a collaboration with the brand, she told Fashion Journal.
"I'm obsessed with it. [I] love the sleeves and the ruched details; I picked the cream colour so I can accessorise it with anything," she said.
The rest of her outfit is made up of items she either thrifted or already owned, sharing, "Even though Eid is about looking and feeling your best, it's not necessary to buy new things. I love that my outfit is a bit over the top but that's what Eid is all about."
