Kitten 'scams' man into adopting even more kittens

Cat people will know better than anyone just how clever our feline friends can be.

One man in the US has been reminded of this recently when he stumbled upon a tiny kitten on the side of the road.

Robert Brantley explains on Facebook he left work to go to the range when he spotted the kitten and pulled over.

"Passed a baby kitten I knew wouldn't make it through the night and the wife has been wanting a cat for the farm; figured I'd stop and rescue the thing," he explains.

As soon as Brantley stepped out of his vehicle the kitten ran up to him and the delighted man scooped him up.

It was then that some movement caught Brantley's eye and much to his disbelief, several little heads peaked out from behind the grass and began running towards him.

Watch the video above to witness the incredible moment.

The group of tiny kittens approached him and circled his feet, making it clear that it was their plan all along.

Brantley filmed the encounter and can be heard saying: "Oh my gosh, I can't take all of you."

And also, there are 13 kittens in total.

His wife Lauren Rene Allen picks up the story on TikTok @najihahshahrel where she explains her husband got "scammed" by the kittens who clearly tricked him into thinking there was just one before they all revealed themselves to him.

Both Brantley and Allen's videos have gone viral, with Brantley's alone clocking up millions of views.

Allen then shares a series of videos of Brantley bathing the kittens, one of the tiny cats spending time with their dog and how they plan to take care of them all.

For now they have decided to keep them all and promised to share updates online.

"We have been completely amazed and humbled by all of the likes and shares, the follows, and the extremely kind words that have been said to Robert for him being recognised just for being the guy that he is," she writes.

"So we want to invite you all on this extremely exciting journey that we're taking with these kittens."
