Missing cat discovered hiding in Las Vegas hotel room: 'Heard weird sounds'

Scoring a freebie in a hotel room can be a real treat. But these hotel guests were not expecting what they found in their Las Vegas hotel room after hearing strange noises through the night.

Lindsey and Arthur Sanders were in the city for a conference and shared the surprising discovery on TikTok, where it quickly went viral.

"So it's four in the morning in Vegas, and I heard some weird sounds in the hotel room," she says. "And this [cat] is just here... what is going on?"

She had also noticed a few other odd things, some of which is initially blamed on her husband.

"The other weird thing is there was pee in the shower, and I was like, 'Arthur, why did you pee in the shower?' He didn't pee in the shower."

The couple called hotel staff and show how security show up at the room, clearly amused by the discovery.

"Only in Vegas," one of them quips.

Unsure how exactly to proceed, the nervous cat initially escapes again to hide underneath the bathroom sink, before the group eventually wrangles the kitty into a pillowcase.

The pair – who just so happened to be vets in Vegas attending a Veterinary conference! – knew the cat wasn't a stray and were eventually told it belonged to the previous guests.

Security said they had reported him missing to hotel staff six days prior.

The cat, named Tiger, has since been reunited with his family. Owner Shanice Williams told 8NewsNow she thought Tiger had bolted out of the room when she couldn't find him at the end of her stay.

The clip received over 6000 comments, with one person writing: "What are the odds (literally!) that vets would get the room rights after the couple who lost their cat!? Kitty got so lucky!"

"He's also there for the conference.," another joked.

While a third said: "What!!! I go to Vegas all the time and have never received a complimentary cat!!!!"
