Man uses tweezers to save choking goldfish named Clarence

A man has saved his goldfish with a pair of tweezers, after noticing he was choking while swimming in his tank.

YouTuber Luke's Goldies shared the video, which you can watch above, showing how he managed to extract a "giant chunk of plant" stuck in his goldfish Clarence's throat.

The video has gained over 18 million views so far.

"At midnight right before I was about to go to bed, I noticed Clarence's mouth was moving kind of weird," Luke says at the beginning of the video.

The YouTuber explains that he'd just put some fresh plants in Clarence's fish tank, and realised the fish must have been choking on one.

"I got some tweezers in my hand and sure enough, there was a good chunk of plant in there," Luke says.

Using his tweezers, Luke said he "nipped the tip of the plant", making sure not to hurt the fish, and managed to pull out what looked like a particularly big piece of plant the fish had tried to gobble down.

"He thrashed around a little bit, because no one likes tweezers down their throat," Luke said after he'd extracted the chunk of plant.

"But after that he was fine, he was swimming in the water, he was good to go."
