The $25 Ikea buy cat owners are transforming into beds for their kitties
Beds are essential for cats as a place they can feel relaxed, comfortable and secure, as well as get their full 16 hours of sleep a day.
That means finding one your feline loves is important, and while there are beds designed specifically for cats, they do have a fondness for anything a little bit different.
It turns out, one of those non-traditional cat beds is actually a $25 Ikea buy that isn't designed for pets or even humans.

A cat owner who shares the adventures of their cats Neji and Nami on TikTok revealed in a video that they purchased the Duktig doll's bed with linen set for one of their cats.
"This is your sign to go to @IKEA and grab the [$25} doll bed for your cat," they captioned the post.
In the video, you can see the cat watching on as the flatpack is constructed and the bed made with the included sheet and mattress.
The cat then walks over and gives the bed a sniff before sitting on top, seemingly pleased with their new resting place.

https://www.tiktok.com/@nejiandnami/video/7545950548952960286But it was the comment section of the clip, which has been watched 1.4 million times, that revealed just how much cats everywhere love the doll's bed.
Cat owners shared images of their cats in the Ikea kids' toy with some painting them a different colour, adding a second next to it for a larger bed and even stacking multiples of them for bunk beds.
"I bought 2 and made bunkbeds," a woman said.
"I raise you with 3 bunk beds," a cat owner wrote.

"My cat sleeps on it every night," a TikToker commented.
"Painted ours pink and added lettering," a woman posted.
"I bought one of these for my daughter's baby dolls and it became a cat bed so fast and she gladly gave it up to the cat lol… my little void," an Ikea shopper said.
"Bought this for my baby 5years ago. best purchase ever she sleeps on it everyday," another wrote.
For some, however, the doll's bed is too small for their cat or their kitty has become accustomed to other sleeping spots.
But for another they're not willing to try this TikTok-influenced trend out after failing with another.
"Nah. I can't give in. I tried the concrete slab trend going around my he wants nothing to do with it. Hahaha love this for your kitty though!!!" they said.
The doll's bed isn't just being used by cats, it's also become a bed for small dogs like chihuahuas.
A look at the Ikea website shows rabbits also like the doll's bed.
"Bunny Luvs His New Bed. Well made. Just what we wanted. Nice to have the added bedding. Good size & so easy to put together," wrote a shopper in their review.
"Bought it for the bunnies and they love using it," one said.
"A perfect little bed for our little bunny," another wrote.
