What's better than one dog? Two!

A couple in America attempted to pull off the ultimate surprise by buying each other the dog breeds they'd always wanted to own.

Clearly, the saying 'great minds think alike' applies here.

Posting to TikTok, vet assistant Chelsea Renee (@chelsearenee46 said that from her experiences on the job, she "fell in love" with chocolate Labradoodles.

"I work as a vet assistant and have completely fallen in love with the breed. I told him i wanted a chocolate lab when we get married," she wrote.

Chelsea's partner Justin was clearly a good listener – and vice versa.

The video shows her presenting Justin with a basset hound, the writing over the video saying, "Surprising my boyfriend with the puppy he has wanted since he was a kid."

"This is really bad timing. What? No way," he replies as he sees her holding the puppy, as Chelsea says, "Surprise".

Chelsea then asks her boyfriend why it's bad timing.

Walking outside to Justin's truck, she peers in the window to see an adorable chocolate Labradoodle puppy sitting on the seat.

"Oh my god," she exclaims.

Chelsea then posted two follow up videos one showing the new puppies saying, "of course we kept both," and then a Q&A from the 26,000 comments the video received.

"Omg that's one HELL of an uno reverse card," one commenter wrote with love heart eye emojis and a laughing face.

Given Chelsea told Justin she wanted a chocolate Labrador when they get married, perhaps wedding bells might be around the corner for the pooch-loving pair.
