Influencer Steph Claire Smith has addressed the backlash for showing off her growing baby bump.
The mum of one, who is expecting her second baby with husband Josh Miller, has taken to Instagram to address a specific situation.

The 31-year-old mother explained that she's enjoyed showing her bump to be comfortable and to avoid buying too many maternity clothes.
"Almost every time I have [shown my bump] women over 60 look at me in pure horror. It generally just makes me laugh, but today I felt sorry for this lady that she felt the need to judge me so," she continued.
Smith shared that she had spoken with a "lady from the generation before me," who complimented her outfit and "remembered her generation being the one that started to shamelessly breastfeed in public and used to get the same judgy eyes from the older gen whenever she would do so."

The fitness influencer continued, "So I suppose with every generation that passes, in ways we're getting a little more and more comfortable with embracing our bodies and celebrating pregnancy and motherhood right?
"I think that's fab," she proclaimed.
Smith's post concluded by noting that not everyone feels comfortable "rocking the belly out" both during pregnancy and when there isn't a baby on board.
"We all feel differently in ourselves in different outfits and styles - but please if you're like me and are doing your best to embrace it, just smile next time at the woman who looks you up and down with judgy eyes."
