Son's adorable Father's Day gift for dad: 'I'd have that laminated'

A son's Father's Day gift for his dad is being praised for the effort that has clearly been put into it.

The proud dad shared a photo of the gift on Reddit's 'Pic's thread, writing: "The Laptop my son gifted me on Father's Day."

The photos show a folded piece of paper with the Apple logo drawn on it.

When the piece of paper is unfolded, we see the boy has carefully drawn a laptop screen and keyboard.

"Yeah he must have drawn that from memory not from copying, even more impressive for that," one Redditer commented.

"Id have that laminated, and i would put it somewhere I'd never lose it," another said, to which the father replied, "Thank you, yes, I will take good care of it."

Responding to comments the gift was only cute if his son was young, the dad confirmed: "Haha, love your imagination! He's actually just 5 years old, so definitely on the 'cute' side of things for now.

"But imagining him doing this in his 40s does put a smile on my face!"

"Dude, I don't want to be the guy to tell you. That's definitely not a laptop. It's more of a palm top," one joked.

"Aww that's sweet, I love gifts like this from my son, they mean the world to me!" another said.

Another said: "Damn dude, nice. What are the specs?"

One speculated: "So have you actually been talking about wanting a mac, or is it your son that's really after one?"

The dad confirmed: "Yes, I've been telling him I want to upgrade to the latest Mac, hahah!"

"Save this in your box of memories. This would be one of those things that would be great to show to your grandchildren in the future," one said.

"Manufacturers have been trying for years to make paper-thin laptops, OP's son figured it out! They'll be knocking on his door to buy his patent anytime," added another.
