'He just completely stopped moving': Sam Frost opens up about pregnancy scare

Sam Frost has revealed a terrifying situation during her pregnancy could have ended badly, if it weren't for her mother's intuition.

The 36-year-old on the Two Doting Dads podcast, hosted by Matty J and Ash Wicks.

The former Bachelorette star recalled during her final weeks of her first pregnancy with son Teddy that, "Towards the due date he just completely stopped moving."

"It was a time where I think mother's intuition had to kick in. And I was just like, something is not right," she said.

She promptly visited the midwife with her concerns but they reassured her, completing scans and tests and telling her the baby's heartbeat was strong.

Though she was momentarily relieved, it didn't last long.

"The second night I went home and I laid awake all night just with my hand on my stomach. And I was like 'man, he's not moving'" she shared, with the anxiety growing every minute.

"So I went in the next day and I was just like 'You have to check this. I'm telling you something is wrong with my baby'.

"And then they checked and he ended up having an irregular heartbeat and they think that he wasn't getting nutrients from the placenta anymore."

The Home and Away star was told they were going to get him out right away and she was then induced and her baby arrived five hours later.

Teddy is now a healthy and happy two year old and an older brother! Frost and her partner Jordie Hansen welcomed their second child, Bobby, in March.

She announced the news of his arrival in an Instagram post.

"This is Bobby ❤️. Bobby Jordan Frost-Hansen. We love you so much little man • 29/03/2025," she wrote in the post alongside a photo of the now family of four poring over the newborn in the hospital bed.

Frost and Hansen, a landscaper and former Australian Survivor contestant, met through the actress' brother in 2022. Together they co-host the podcast Jordie and Sam's Rural Roadtrip, which sees them travel through Australia together.

Frost rose to fame on the second season of The Bachelor Australia where she won the heart of real estate agent Blake Garvey. He proposed to her in the season finale, but it was later revealed that Garvey broke off the relationship with Frost days before the finale went to air.

She then went on to star in the first season of The Bachelorette Australia, where she chose Sasha Mielczarek, a construction manager from rural New South Wales. They continued their relationship long-distance for 18 months before a public statement released by Frost's management team announced their split.
