Father-to-be marks partner's pregnancy progress in 'food comparison' video

A dad in Germany has shared a video in which he marks his partner's pregnancy by comparing the baby's growth to various food products.

Danny Bortfeld and fiancee Marlen Lalo welcomed their daughter Luna in April, 2017.

The video - shared on the actor's Facebook page - starts with food items as small as sesame seeds, until the pregnancy progresses all the way to an eggplant.

Soon enough Bortfeld finds himself holding a watermelon.

The funniest part of the video is the father-to-be's facial expressions as his partner's belly grows - as if he can't believe how big his unborn child can become in there.

The video is called 'When love becomes life', and has belatedly gone viral after parenting website Netmums shared it.
