Anyone who has ever been pregnant – or has lived with a pregnant person – knows that when cravings kick in it's like nothing else.

I remember breaking down in tears because I wanted one specific breakfast and finding out the cafe had actually sold out of it. That's how much food matters to a pregnant person.

Even some celebs have been open about sharing their cravings and turns out, pregnancy does it to all of us.

Hailey Bieber recently announced she and husband Justin are expecting their first bub and she's already leaning into what that little bubba wants.

From spicy delights to sweet and salty combos, here's what mums have snacked on throughout pregnancy.

Read on to see what these mums had to say about their cravings.

Hailey Bieber only just announced her pregnancy but the cravings are already hitting.

The 27-year-old model, who is expecting her first child with husband Justin Bieber, shared the snack she's been eating on her Instagram stories and it's a combo that pretty much screams pregnancy craving.

"Currently my biggest craving," she wrote alongside a picture of the snack.

"Egg salad on top of a pickle with hot sauce and no, you're not allowed to judge!!"

It's definitely an interesting combo but it would hit all of those salty, savoury and spicy cravings at once.

Behati Prinsloo didn't shy away from sharing her cravings when she was pregnant with her second child in 2017.

Sharing a snap on Instagram, the now mum-of-three posted an apple sprinkled with Tajin.

Tajin seasoning is a balance of salty, citrus, and mildly spicy flavors, so paired with apple it would deliver quite the flavour hit.

But it's not just the Tajin that the Victoria's Secret model was craving throughout her pregnancy.

She also posted a photo of hot chips and a chocolate milkshake, of course dipping the chips in for the ultimate hot/cold/sweet/salty combo.

"OMG I have the best husband," she wrote, hinting that Adam Levine had been sent out to get this treat.

"My entire second trimester all I wanted was chili sauce on everything, or hot wings," Amy said.

"There were several times where I dragged my husband to the pub purely for hot wings. I have never in my life wanted or enjoyed spicy food and I just could not get enough of it, well, until the heartburn hit and boy did it hit HARD."

"Literally anything sour," Tess revealed.

"I was addicted to sour lollies, green apples and lemons."

Anyone who's ever smashed too many sour lollies knows it can do some damage to your tongue and Tess admitted that "at times for sure" she ended up with burns.

"Capsicum. Would eat an entire one raw. That and self-saucing puddings in my trimester haha," said Caitlin.

"Choc Bavarians – whole, not a slice. I ate the whole thing. And toasted cheese and pineapple sangas!" said Haley.
