Adele shocked by angry message from Peppa Pig: 'I'm with you babes'

When Adele sat down with a radio station to discuss the upcoming release of her new album, she did not expect to be faced with a message from a disgruntled pig.

However an Instagram Live comment by the famous singer had upset equally famous Peppa Pig - who called in to the radio show to express her dismay.

When asked earlier whether she would collaborate with Peppa Pig, the singer answered a very definite: "No!"

The rebuff prompted Peppa to call UK radio station 95-106 The Capital and leave an upset message for the singer.

"Hello Adele, that made me really, really sad when you said you wouldn't collaborate with me," Peppa Pig said in the message played to Adele live on air.

"Why not? Don't you like me?"

The singer seemed shocked by the surprise caller.

"Is that the real nowadays Peppa?" Adele said.

"First of all babes, Peppa, that ain't the one of you I know. That's not the same voice as the one that I grew up with my son. Oh my gosh!"

Once Adele realised it was in fact THE Peppa Pig speaking, she did her best to apologise.

"I regret it, I regret it. I spent three years watching you," Adele, who no doubt watched Peppa when her eight-year-old son Angelo was younger, said.

"I deeply regret it. Anytime you want to go (jumping) in muddy puddles, I'm with you babes. I felt terrible the second I said it."
