Inside the first-ever Olympic nursery for athletes at Paris 2024

While our Olympians are hard at work training for the competition of their lives, it appears their kids are having the time of their lives in the first-ever Olympic Nursery.

Australian swimmer Keesja Gofers has revealed she was one of the first athletes to use the specially-designed nursery in Paris.

She's explained to her almost 7000 followers on Instagram just how amazing and how easy it is for her husband and daughter to use.

"Scott and T get Village guest passes for the day. I book a 1 hr time slot for the nursery that works with our training schedule," she says.

She says while the nursery is separate to the residential part of the village, it's in the village plaza and so is easy to access once you pass security.

Gofers gushes over how every little detail has been carefully crafted for her daughter Teleri to enjoy.

"The nursery is a room with books, toys, a ball pit, a kiddy bike. It has a changing station and a breast feeding section."

"Also a mini race track for little athletes in the making! It's a really cool set up, T was in heaven. And we got two nappies as a gift too."

Gofers says the nursery is a "really cool addition to the Village" and "makes such a difference to have a space that is specifically, and really thoughtfully set up, to engage and play" for children like her daughter.

Her post has already caught the attention of other Olympians, including American Paralympic swimmer Christie Raleigh Crossley.

She wrote, "Thank you for showing this. We keep getting told about it. So excited to get to use this next month during the Paralympics with my littles."

Gofers is hoping the setup will be so popular that it'll become a "permanent village addition" at future Games.
