How to raise resilient kids, according to a leading expert
'How can I help my child be more resilient?' is a question Dr Justin Coulson often hears from worried mums and dads.
So much so, that the parenting expert decided to write a book on the topic.
And now, he is sharing his top five tips to help raise kids that can bounce back from adversity and challenges with 9Honey Parenting.

1. "Ditch the idea that it's important to harden kids up", he reveals. "The 'toughen up, princess' routine just doesn't work. It will actually end up making them feel unworthy incompetent and less resilient."
2. "Drop the excessive praise," he advises. "They don't need their tyres pumped up with our inflated praise. In fact, research shows too much praise can make them question their abilities."
