Olympia Valance and Thomas Bellchambers announce their first pregnancy following devastating fertility battle
Olympia Valance has announced her first pregnancy following her struggles with fertility.
"I've been hiding away for the past 5 and a half months to make sure this wasn't all a dream. But you kept growing and growing and it's starting to look like our dreams have finally come true," the Aussie actress wrote on Instagram alongside an image of her holding a pregnancy test while her partner, Thomas Bellchambers, cradles her bump.
Valance has been open about her fertility battle, adding that she "truly believed" she and Bellchambers would never welcome a child of their own.

"So when I saw this positive pregnancy test I have to admit, at the time, I wasn't jumping for joy," she continued.
"I was full of fear because that's all I've known. But as the weeks kept going by it was hard to wipe the smile off our faces."
Last year, the Neighbours actress shared a video on Instagram detailing her struggles with fertility, sharing that she had miscarried twins during Covid.

"As you can imagine [it] was excruciatingly painful," she said. "Since then we haven't been able to conceive. That would be two years of really trying.
"For any woman or couple trying to get pregnant, there is no worse pain than every month looking down at that negative pregnancy test. Your heart breaks in two."
In her pregnancy announcement, Valance went on to say that her "little one we never thought we'd meet" is worth "every tear, every setback, and every prayer".
The actress thanked her friends and family who supported her "through the darkest days," saying she wouldn't have made it to this point without them.
Valance described her pregnancy as "the best news in the world" for her and Bellchambers, however, she made a note to recognise those who may still be struggling with their fertility.

"My heart aches for anyone that sees this and feels pain," she said.
"It was so hard for me to write this because it feels like I'm caught between two worlds. It's not an easy road and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. It's one hell of an emotional roller coaster.
"Stay strong, keep fighting, but most importantly don't forget to be kind to yourself."
