Nine nurses who work together are all pregnant at the same time
You often hear the old wives tale of women’s monthly periods syncing up if they spend a lot of time together.
Well, for nine women in the USA, they’ve taken the phenomenon one step further – their pregnancies have synced up.
Nine nurses who work at Maine Medical Center are all pregnant at the same time, and ironically they all work in the labour and delivery unit.
The women are also set to give birth within three months of each other.
The hospital announced the “baby boom” news on Facebook with a photo of eight of the nine pregnant women all lined up, and the post has since gone viral.
“How’s this for a baby boom?” the post says.
“Nine of our nurses are expecting babies between April and July! Congratulations!”
One of the nurses revealed all of the mums-to-be are excited to be sharing their pregnancy experiences together, and being able to provide support for one another at work has been invaluable.

"It's really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop, and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together," nurse Amanda Spear told WMTW.
The Maine nurses aren’t the only ones to have experienced a baby boom as of late. Several fire and police departments in the US have also had an influx of little ones arriving.
Last year a Texan fire department shared a post that the station had welcomed a total of 15 babies who had been born in the last year – one new dad had two new bubs, a boy and a girl.
"Don’t drink the water at the Waxahachie Fire Department," they joked on a Facebook post.
Similarly, two fire stations in Oklahoma previously experienced a major baby boom – one welcomed seven babies in 15 months, and another welcomed nine newborns in less than a year.
Police officers in Kentucky also had a serious case of baby fever last year.

Interestingly enough, another set of nurses based in Arizona also had a major baby boom, with 16 nurses working at the same hospital all falling pregnant at similar times.
Serious question though: could there be something in the water?
