Sesame Street pokes fun at TV housewives

Childrens' television show Sesame Street, has always offered up provocative parallels to American culture along with a healthy dose of moral lessons for the little ones.

In a move that will amuse bored mums watching kids' television everywhere, they've now dished up a cute parody on The Real Housewives television series franchise.

With the title of The Real Grouches of Sesame Street (what else), part one introduces all the diva-like dumpster dwellers.

Here at 9Mums we're particularly taken with Diva Garbagedump - a self-confessed trash digger.  

According to Muppet Wiki (yes, it's a thing) grouches are argumentative with a taste for trash.

As main muppet Grover says, 'on Sesame Street you can be anything you want.' And we can't wait to see what the new diva grouches get up to.
