Mum-of-five's controversial birthday party 'rule' divides opinion
One mum has stirred up controversy after admitting that she takes all five of her children to events that only one has been invited to.
Mum-of-five Jeena starts a TikTok video by showing a birthday party invitation, after which she beckons her children and husband to follow her dancing off the screen. "You invite one child, you get all of us," she wrote in caption with the video. "Don't worry, we bring awesome gifts.
"Are you team just the invited child goes or team the whole family?! My husband works a lot and most days it's just me and the kids! I always RSVP or ask the parents first."

Despite her explanation, many commenters were still not fans of her method.
"Each child deserves their own individual experiences without their siblings," one commenter stated.
"Imagine the oldest getting invited to a party with kids their age and all of the sudden they have toddlers hanging around. I'd feel sorry for the host," said another commenter.
"This is unhinged. Either the host feels pressured to say yes or your child and the birthday kid are robbed of a fun experience with their friend group," another commenter pointed out.

"I would never do this, if someone only wants one of your kids at the party, you have to respect their decision," said one commenter.
"It's not up for debate," the mum said in response to the comment. "In our household, if you invite one, you're inviting us all. We always ask the parents first and we don't just show up. But if you keep on insisting on just the one child...we most likely aren't coming."
Others sided with the mum.
"I honestly don't see a problem here," said one commenter, "She asks, has stated she'll financially cover costs, and doesn't want to leave her children alone. Am I missing something?"
