'This can't be real': An influencer couple has come under fire online after revealing the unique name they've given their son

The internet is enraged after learning of the wild name a TikTok couple have chosen to give their newborn son.

Last week, influencers Morgan and Lou announced that they had welcomed a baby boy, sharing a clip of the birth to TikTok.

Now, in a new video, they've announced the unique name they've chosen to give their son.

"It was really easy for us to find a girl name that we were excited about so he was going to be called Birdie Lou," Lou explained to followers.

"But it was really hard for us to find a boy name that was like equally as exciting," Morgan added.

The couple explained that instead of researching baby names online or going old-school with a baby name book, they instead decided to comb through their record collection to find some inspiration.

They shared that what they were looking for was something that "spoke to [them] most" and had "sentimental meaning".

"And that's how we ended up landing on Pony Ramone Presley," they said.

They then went into detail about what inspired the name, explaining that on their first date they danced to a record by Orville Peck called Pony, adding that his middle name was inspired by the band The Ramones.

"When we first found out she was pregnant, we were actually heavily, heavily listening to the Ramones," Lou said.

"So it just felt right, and it just sounds nice."

While the couple seemed content with the name, that didn't stop viewers from commenting their own opinions.

"This can't be real. They have to be protecting his real name," one person wrote.

"Yall REALLY thought it would be cute to name a future grown man "Pony"?? Come on now… cute baby name, not an adult name," another added.

"That's so terrible I'm sorry lol," a third comment read.

In the video the couple explained that they were using the last name Presley online to protect their son, but commenters pointed out that their efforts may be redundant.

"Giving him a fake last name from his safety doesn't feel very useful lmao," one viewer wrote.
