Millennial and Gen Z baby names already going extinct, say experts
It seems like they were born just yesterday, but the experts at BabyCenter say these Millennial and Gen Z baby names are already falling out of favour with the new it-crowd between 2022 and 2023.

"Girls' names that were popular when Millennials were being born have fallen from grace in the past decade," says BabyCenter.
"These were all in the top 100 in the 1980s and '90s, but declined in popularity in 2023."
The name Brooke saw the biggest drop, going down 198 spots. It is an English name meaning stream.
Another name declining in popularity is Angela. A Greek name meaning Heavenly messenger, it has dropped 94 spots in popularity.
Amanda is another such name. Down 131 spots, it's a Latin name meaning "Worthy of love".
Diana, a Latin name meaning "Divine" , is down 108 spots.
Michelle, down 129 spots, is a Hebrew origin name meaning "who is like God".
Blake, an English name meaning pale, was the second most declined girl's name on the list.
It also played into the trend of surnames as first names also declining, according to BabyCentre.
Mckenzie is another surname turned first name that has seen decline. An Irish name meaning Son of Coinneach, it dropped 150 spots.
Charli, the alternate spelling of Charlie, is derived from the name Charles which is German for "free man". It is down 179 spots in popularity.
Names ending with -lyn are also in decline. Adelynn, and alternate spelling of the name Adelyn which is German for "noble" or "nobility" is down 124 spots.
