Man's attempt to get wife to have another baby sparks controversy

A man's amusing attempts at convincing his wife to ditch her birth control pills have divided online critics.

TikTok user Leandra Janai Joseph took to the social media platform to share her husband's not-so-subtle pregnancy hints.

In the video, Leandra reveals a series of Post-it notes left on her birth control pill packets.

She chronicles the handwritten note discoveries over several days, each reminding her how much her partner wants another baby.

In the viral video, the mum-of-three says, "My husband has been leaving me these notes all week."

She pans to a photo of a note, stuck onto a birth control packet, which reads, "You know where these would look great? The TRASH!"

"You already took one today, remember?" another note reads, while a separate note says, "I've replaced all of these with prenatal pills..."

As the week goes on, Leandra receives even more notes, with one day-four note reading, "Have I mentioned you'd look better pregnant?"

He doesn't stop there though, with his final note reading, "I have an idea for our next adventure. It's only going to take about nine months."

Leandra shared the video with the caption, "I think he's trying to tell me something."

Since being posted, the video has garnered more than 8.6 million views, and more than 1.4 million likes.

However, some people were quick to criticise her husband's efforts for another child, with one user writing, "is it just me or are these notes icky".

Others branded his behaviour as "toxic," but Leandra was quick to shut the haters down writing, "For those of you worried that I am being 'coerced', just know that my baby fever is also sky high."
