Kristen Bell's trick to getting an answer when asking her kids about their day
Many parents would agree the task of drawing blood from a stone is a breeze compared to getting anything more than a monosyllabic answer to the question, “How was school today?”

When their two daughters started attending preschool, The Good Place star, 38, and husband Dax Shepard, 43, had some trouble getting them to talk about their days.

In this case, she tells them people ask their loved ones how their days were in order to find out how they’ve been feeling, and if there’s something they’d like to talk through.
“[I say] ‘I'm interested and it gives us a chance to reconnect to each other. That's why people ask one another about their day’,” she adds.
