The $22 Kmart buy keeping kids clothes clean and dry

Whether it's getting dirty in the garden or playing at the park, kids and their clothes often end up damp and stained.

But there is an easy way to keep them both clean and dry during playtime that won't add to your laundry load.

Kmart's $22 kids overalls are water repellent and only require a wipe down if they get dirty. They come in dust rose and kids overalls colours and range in size from one to six.

It's something mum Amy has plenty of experience with while doing activities with her daughter.

"Every toddler parent knows that when the rain seems to be constant and you're stuck at home, the walls start to close in. But thank God for products that can let you get out in wet weather like the water repellent overalls," she says.

"These Kmart overalls are perfect for spending time at the park when it's been wet, knowing that you won't get a whingy toddler with wet pants and for everyone's sanity you can get out of the house.

"My daughter's newest obsession is jumping in puddles at any chance she can get, so the overalls are the perfect way for her to do that and stay dry at the same time. The adjustable straps and stirrups on the feet make it such an easy outfit to get on and off and perfect for wet days.

"The fabric is light meaning play is easy and stays fun, which is a bonus for her, but means that I don't have to yell at her to stop jumping in puddles and getting soaking wet.
