Jimmy and Nadia Bartel announce they are expecting second child with sweet post

Former Geelong Cats star Jimmy Bartel and his wife Nadia are expecting their second child.

The delighted couple revealed the news on their individual social media accounts, much to the excitement of their followers.

Nadia, who shares son Aston with the ex-AFL star, posted a short video clip on her Instagram page announcing the happy news.

The 32-year-old filmed herself in front of a mirror with her small bump on show and her two-year-old tot perched on her hip.

“What’s in mummy’s tummy? Baby? … Is it your baby brother? Yes, really?” she asked her excited tot.

She also captioned the snap saying: “Baby 2 is cooking another boy is on the way. @jrb03 ( and no his name won’t be Lachie, to Aston’s disappointed) #15weeks.(sic)”

Former Geelong player Jimmy shared two ultrasound images of their bub with his 112,000 followers on Instagram.

“@nadiabartel, Aston and I can’t wait to meet you son! Love you so much already,” he wrote.

Jimmy played 305 games for Geelong before retiring in 2016 while Nadia is a fashion blogger and stylist with over 400,000 followers on Instagram.

The pair welcomed their son Aston James Bartel in November 2015.

Jimmy and Nadia found themselves coming under attack on social media last year after they chose to enjoy a romantic holiday together in the Maldives without their son.

Nadia went on to slam the “parent shaming” she experienced and explained their son had been staying with his grandparents while the couple were away.
