Jamie Oliver admits to using 'spy apps' to keep tabs on his kids

Jamie Oliver has dubbed mobile phone apps to "spy" on his kids as "brilliant".

The 43-year-old Naked Chef has revealed he and wife Jools have their three older children connected into an app called Life360, so they can see where they are.

"We use an app to keep track of our kids’ whereabouts," he told Woman magazine.

"So if one of the girls says, 'I’m going to Camden Town' and I can see they’ve gone to Reading, then we have a problem." 

However, it works both ways says the doting dad.

"They can check on me, too, and see how fast I’m driving. It’s brilliant."

The software app for smartphones is a location-based service and shows where members of your family, or "circle", are on a map and can even send alerts to parents when kids arrive to or from school (or likewise when parents arrive to or from work).

Jamie and Jools, who have been married for 18 years, have five children together - Poppy, 16, Daisy 15, Petal, nine, Buddy, eight, and River, two.

In the interview the celebrity chef also gushed about his wife, 43, saying: "I love her more now than I ever have before."

He adds he loves seeing Jools age and wrinkle because "her wrinkles have been earned".
