'It's worse than childbirth': Sara Vale's shocking admission about The Block

The winner of this year's The Block, Sara Vale, admits the renovation challenge was more difficult than childbirth.

"If you're unlucky, childbirth can go for about 48 hours and then you're rewarded with this amazing gift at the end, whereas The Block is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for three months," she says.

"Childbirth is a hell of a lot easier."

Vale is this week's guest on the Honey Mums podcast with Deborah Knight.

She and husband Hayden copped a fair amount of criticism from viewers, particularly for their parenting style.

They have a daughter, Harlow, and recently announced they're expecting a son.

The parents were forced to leave their 14-month-old daughter with Sara's parents for the duration of the show.

"I wasn't expecting how tough it would actually be," Sara says.

"We couldn't even say goodbye to Harlow because she was starting to understand what goodbye really meant."
