Aussie 'Gangsta Granny' has 1.7m TikTok followers in hysterics

Grandma isn't usually the family member that you label as being cool, reckless and mischievous - but that's the only way to describe Gangsta Granny. Aussie nan Judy Fisher is gaining the attention of millions of TikTok users, sharing clips of her and her grandson's rebellious antics and exploding in popularity on the platform.

The 75-year-old from Kew in Melbourne is always up for having a bit of fun with her grandchildren Ben and Maddie - captured playing pranks on them, riding her bike around with her 'homies' and even partying with all their teenage friends.

The grandma has even adopted a signature 'gangster' look she is now known by in her videos, always wearing an oversized Lakers basketball jersey, thick gold chains, cap worn backwards and sunglasses on the top of her head.

Gangsta Granny currently has over 1.7 million followers on TikTok, which was launched exactly a year ago during lockdown by her 13-year-old grandson Ben who first began posting videos of his grandma playing Grand Theft Auto on PlayStation with him.

After realising she was a hit with TikTok users, the grandma began posting videos under her 'gangster' persona even taking to the platform to rap for her followers.

"I am a gangster with a hat, I am a gangster with a chain, do you like me maybe not," she sings in one of her clips.

Alongside her raps Judy also dances to classic rap songs by Eminem and Dr Dre in her videos and dances to TikTok challenges with Ben.

Some of her videos have been viewed over 5.5 million times including one where Gangsta Grandma is sneaking out of the house on her scooter with a bum bag to "meet the homies."

She and her grandson Ben love to "hit the streets" riding their bikes, playing basketball and hanging out at McDonalds - or as they like to call it Maccas.

She was also recently captured dancing the night away to YMCA by the Village People at her granddaughter Maddie's birthday party in the center of the moshpit full of teenagers.

"Show em how it's done Gran," one person commenting on that video impressed with her moves. Another calling her 'the leader of the gangsters' on the clip.
