When it comes to gender reveals, most parents-to-be carefully plan for a special moment to learn the news.
But one couple in Dublin were left with a very memorable reveal for all the wrong reasons, after the company tasked with helping to make it special ruined it in an instant.
Leaving the pair to learn they were expecting a baby girl in their waiting room.
Capturing the moment in a now viral TikTok posted to @Ultrascanireland, the company show how an employee walks towards the expectant couple holding a black balloon filled with mystery-coloured confetti.

Rather than hand this to the excited couple, however, the woman accidently bursts the bubble, spraying pink confetti across the room.
The shocked pair - and two others in the room, cover their faces in shock at the huge gaffe.
Many on TikTok were stunned by the error, with one even saying they 'would cry'.
"Omg I can't I'm wetting myself but I would have been gutted," agreed another.

Others felt it made the moment extra memorable.

And it seems the couple aren't alone in having their reveal go pear-shaped.
"Mine popped in the car just before I got home," sympathised another.

"The lady at the party supply store put a pink clip on the balloon for my sister… like c'mon!!! You had one job," one shared.
In another video shared to their account, the company show how their balloons and confetti cannons - offered as an extra service to clients, are supposed to be used in a successful gender reveal.
However said the couple in the original video took the mishap in their stride.
"(They were in) Shock then they saw the funny side and asked for the video for themselves to keep, human errors happen," they explained.
