Christina Ricci reveals why her eight-year-old still sleeps in her bed but her nine-month-old doesn't
Actress Christina Ricci has lifted the lid on her family's unusual sleeping arrangements.
The 42-year-old mum-of-two revealed Freddie, her eight-year-old son, still sleeps in her bed, but her nine-month-old daughter Cleopatra sleeps in her own crib.
"The fact that I can put her down in her crib and she just goes to sleep when my eight-year-old still sleeps with me is amazing," Ricci told People.

Ricci said she tried to sleep-train Freddie when he was younger, however, she ultimately did not feel comfortable leaving him to cry it out.
"He screamed himself hoarse and started banging his head against the crib railing," Ricci explained of Freddie, whom she shares with her ex, film producer James Heerdegen.
Cleopatra, however, enjoys having her alone time.

"But with Cleo, when we decided to try it and see how she would react to it, she just sort of whined for about seven minutes and then laid down, clutched her little unicorn and went to sleep," Ricci said of her daughter, whom she shares with Mark Hampton.
"It was like she was ready and she wanted to do it, and it was right for her."
The couple married in October 2021, and welcomed Cleopatra in January this year.

Ricci is not the only A-Lister who prefers to have her child sleep with her in the same bed.
Actors Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell recently shared their two daughters – nine-year-old Lincoln and seven-year-old Delta – had "graduated" from sleeping on a "trifold mattress" on the couple's bedroom floor in July.
Actress Alicia Silverstone also revealed in July that she and her 11-year-old son, Bear, still sleep together in the same bed.
Foreseeing possible backlash about her admission, the 45-year-old told The Ellen Fisher Podcast: "I really don't care."
