Chrissy Teigen reveals 'milky boobs' in hilariously honest post about being a new mum

Chrissy Teigen is being praised for her very honest commentary of life with a newborn – this time, revealing the impacts of breastfeeding on her body.

The model has shared a video to her Instagram account, showing off what she calls her "milky boobs".

Not one to shy away from the realities of motherhood, the 32-year-old invited her 17.9 million followers to have a look at what happens to breasts shortly after baby has arrived.

"Please look at my veins going to my milk boobs," Teigen says in the short clip.

"What is this?"

The cookbook author gave birth to her second child, Miles Theodore Stephens, in May, with the bub arriving three weeks early.

Teigen is well known for her raw accounts of motherhood, having spoken candidly about stretch marks, postpartum depression and her struggle with infertility prior to the birth of her daughter Luna, two, and baby Miles.

Her relatable commentary has won over mums worldwide, who comment on her social media posts with their own stories.

Recently, the 32-year-old shared a photo of herself holding baby Miles while wearing mesh underwear.

The disposable undergarments are given to new mums by hospital staff, to make their recovery more comfortable.

She hilariously compared her underwear to the protective mesh used to cover fruit in supermarkets.

"If you haven't seen @aliwong's new Netflix special, you are bad at picking Netflix specials #asianpearunderwear," Teigen's post read.

She was referring to a TV show by comedian Ali Wong, which goes into detail about the realities of postpartum bodies.

Teigen's photo quickly earned her more than two million likes, and countless comments from other new mums.

"Thanks for being real AF. Truly a role model for moms everywhere. Love you so much!" wrote taylorannspolidoro

farisazaffa wrote, "Came home from the hospital last week in the same mesh panties! Gotta protect that caesarean wound of mine. Our babies are born just weeks apart. thanks for being so real".
