Champion fighter throws lavish celebration for son

UFC fighter Conor McGregor and partner Dee Delvin have thrown a lavish celebration for son Conor Jr's christening.

The couple chose Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin in Ireland for the do which they dubbed, a "Mac Land" celebration.

Luttrellstown Castle was also the location chosen by David and Victoria Beckham for their 1999 wedding.

The party included all their family and friends as well as rides and plenty more.

McGregor, 29, lost his most recent bout against Floyd Mayweather but still managed to earn a cool £100million (AUD $168million) from the event, so he was more than happy to splash some cash for his beloved son.

Guests were treated to fairground rides, animals, fire-breathers, fireworks and even a statue of a lion.

Coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy attended the event alongside 100 others.

McGregor and Delvin have been together since 2008 and this is their first child together.
